How to Get the Most Out of Your Fitness Workout App

When we engage in fitness workout app challenges, we accept the challenge and push our bodies past their limits. To be honest, that’s exactly what a good challenge is for – pushing your body and your mind further than you ever thought you could! However, in order for our bodies to operate at their optimal versions, there are two major factors that tend to get lost in the excitement of reaching your goals.
GET MORE SLEEP
Sleep is crucial to your recovery. As adults, sleeping can sometimes feel near impossible. But if you are working out 6-7 days a week, you need to get your 7-8 hours of rest a night. Lack of sleep is a big reason why people don’t see the results they are working toward. Lack of the sleep also leaves you feeling physically tired, so you cannot push as hard as you may want.
In short – make sure you are getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night to recover and get the results you are looking for!
DRINK MORE WATER
Hydration, hydration, hydration! You hear this all the time: “Are you drinking enough water?” It feels like that little devil on your shoulder. Sure, we drink water during our workout, but are we drinking enough water in between our workouts? Hydration is super important, even when you aren’t engaged in a physical challenge. Even more important when you are!
I know you are working through the Better Together Challenge and the last thing you want is another challenge, but here you go! Try to drink at least 64oz of water a day. If you want to get more specific on your water intake, divide your body weight in half and drink that number in ounces of water. So if you are 140 pounds, you drink 120 ounces of water.
In short – drink water before, during and after your workout. At least 64oz a day!
Remember fitness is not just about movement, it’s about taking care of your body as a whole unit. Keep pushing limits to reach your goals and remember, we are Better Together!
