HOW LONG ARE THE CLASSES AND WORKOUTS?
Our LIVE classes will be 30 to 45 minutes. Our On-Demand content varies from 5 minutes to 45 minutes to fit all your workout needs. These segments can be added on to LIVE classes or mixed and matched to create a totally custom experience.
ARE THERE DIFFERENT LEVELS?
No experience is necessary to participate in classes and our content is designed for all experience levels. We will have beginner through advanced content, with a specific section called “New To Boxing”, which will include tutorials and beginner classes. If you are looking for a more in-depth boxing breakdown, we also have virtual private training available. Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
DO I NEED EQUIPMENT?
We recommend a pair of sneakers or closed toed shoes as well as a small space to complete our classes. You can always add weights, gloves, mats, etc. to help enhance your workout experience. We are currently selling a BoxUnion branded stand up heavy bag – email email@example.com to pre-order.
DO I NEED TO BOOK AHEAD OF TIME?
No. You do not need to book ahead of time!
WILL YOU BE CONTINUING BOXUNION DIGITAL AFTER THE STUDIOS RE-OPEN?
Yes. We believe that there is an amazing opportunity in the digital space to allow us touch and connect with as many people as possible and we look forward to continuing BoxUnion Digital once our studio doors are re-opened.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time at Digital.BoxUnion.com. If you cancel in the middle of a billing cycle, you will have the remainder of the cycle before your subscription is completely terminated. Subscriptions are non-refundable, nontransferable and will not be pro-rated for early cancellation. If you are a BoxUnion in-studio member, please reach out to your home studio or firstname.lastname@example.org to complete your cancellation.
DO THE ONLINE CLASSES COUNT TOWARDS MY TOTAL CLASSES TAKEN IN THE STUDIO?
Digital classes do not affect your in-studio class total.

HOW MUCH SPACE DO I NEED IN MY HOME?
The bag itself is 18″ DIA (top) 24″ DIA (base) and 67″ Tall. We recommend a minimum space of 8’ x 4’ to fully participate in classes and move around the bag, however this can vary depending on your arm length and height.
HOW DO I FILL UP THE BAG?
The bag can be filled with water, sand or both depending on how you want to customize your experience. More weight means = more resistance = less swing. The bag weighs ~250 ibs if filled with water and ~450 ibs if filled with sand. Detailed instructions will be provided.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
The bag has a 1 year warranty. Any returns must be made within 14 days of receiving the bag – there are no refunds on freight. Customer is responsible for return freight.
DO I NEED ANY EXTRA EQUIPMENT?
boxing gloves and wraps are needed to protect your hands and wrists. To participate in classes, you can get a subscription to BoxUnion Digital by visiting Digital.BoxUnion.Com. If you are placing the bag on a hard floor, we also recommend a bag ring. The bag ring covers the bottom and base of your bag and also helps with bag shifting so you get the best workout possible. We will have all items coming soon to our website.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Our classes are designed for all fitness and boxing experience levels and we encourage you do go at your own pace. If you are new to boxing, please arrive to your first class 20 minutes early to check in at the front desk and run through your punch orientation with your first timer ambassador. Your coach will also take you through our 6 basic punches and defensive moves before the start of class time. If you are looking for a more in-depth boxing breakdown, join us for Form + Footwork.
We have everything you need right in the studio— glove rentals are available for $3.00 and quickwraps and traditional wraps are available for purchase.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A BOXUNION SIGNATURE CLASS?
It’s not just a class. It’s an experience that is equal parts MIND, BODY, BOXING and MUSIC.
For forty-five, heart pounding minutes, we combine shadowboxing, cardio, plyometrics, core work and heavy bag training for fun fitness fusion that pushes the mind and body within your individual heavy bag station. All classes include a targeted warm up and cool down to ensure our boxers are present and prepared to truly build their inner and outer fighter. The first phase of class focuses on shadowboxing to the beat with bursts of cardio, plyometrics and body weight movements. The second phase is all about you and your heavy bag as you continue to build lean muscle, burn calories, intensify your focus and relieve stress. And don’t worry, while boxing is an incredible core workout, we sneak in 5 minutes of fierce core exercises to give you that extra EXTRA burn. We want you to leave the studio with the heart of a champion—stronger, more confident and empowered.
We have cut class length down to 40 minutes during the post-quarantine COVID era. This allows our staff more time to properly clean and disinfect the room. We have also removed any floor exercises.
I HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A WHILE…
Trust us, we have all been there. Getting back into workouts can often be intimidating and we want to support you as you take on this exciting new challenge. Our classes are designed for all fitness levels. Our coaches provide modifications for the movements and combinations we utilize in class. Getting overwhelmed on the bag? You can always go back to your single jab or adjust the power behind your punch. We are excited to provide a system that encourages boxers to thrive, grow and build their fitness. IS THERE A BEGINNER CLASS?
In addition to our Signature Class (which is designed for all fitness and boxing levels) we offer Intro to Boxing every Sunday. A complimentary, comprehensive and in-depth 45-minute review of boxing fundamentals, this class is great for newcomers or those looking for a hands-on breakdown of the six punches and defensive moves. Review technique, form and footwork. Private trainers are also available through our Champion Training program. Neither Intro to Boxing nor Champion Training are a prerequisite for joining our Signature Class.
PREPPING FOR CLASS
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear comfortable athletic wear that is easy to move in. You must wear closed-toed sneakers at all times in the studio. Wraps and gloves are required for class. Quickwraps and traditional wraps are available at the studio for $10-$15 and glove rentals are available for $3.00. We also sell a variety of traditional wraps and gloves. You are always welcome to bring your own gloves and wraps.
WHAT SHOULD I NOT WEAR?
For safety reasons, we highly recommend removing all jewelry, especially rings. Please no strong perfumes, as some boxers may be allergic.
CAN I BRING MY CHILD WITH ME TO THE STUDIO, DO YOU OFFER CHILD CARE SERVICES?
As we do not provide child care services, we do not allow children under the age of 12 to be left unattended in our lobby.
What are you cleaning the studios with?
We are cleaning and disinfecting all common area surfaces with wipes that contain at least 70% alcohol. For in studio, we are cleaning and disinfecting all bags, floor, and high touch areas with cleaner solution & disinfecting equipment with an EPA approved & medical grade disinfectant, cleaner, and sanitizer.
Can I still rent gloves?
We will still offer glove rentals! Any rented gloves will stay out of rotation for 72 hours. The outside of the gloves will be cleaned and disinfected with wipes containing at least 70% alcohol and the inside is disinfected by using medical grade dryer that is scientifically proven to prevent 99.99% of all bacteria.
Will you still be offering complimentary towels in studio for the workout?
At this time, we will not be providing our boxers with towels for their workout. We ask that all boxers either bring their own towel from home or purchase one of our new BoxUnion branded towels from the front desk before class.
How often are you cleaning?
We are cleaning and disinfecting all high touch areas, such as the front desk, lockers, lobby, and restrooms while each class is in session. Between classes we will proceed to clean and disinfect all bags, coach’s station, and any other high touch points in the studio.
Will I have to wear a mask during the workout?
When you arrive at the studio, please be prepared to have your temperature taken and wait outside until the class time starts. We will not be allowing boxers to congregate in the lobby.
Per Government regulations, we will require masks outside and as you are walking to your bag. You are not required to wear a mask during the workout, but if you would feel more comfortable doing so you are more than welcome.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR CLASS?
To ensure a spot in class, every boxer must create an account and book their bag in advance. You can call the studio, book your bag online, or download the BoxUnion app from the app store for easy scheduling and booking. We do take walk-ins, space permitting.
If this is your first class with us, please call the studio so that we can purchase your First Timer Special, book you into class, and go over all policies and procedures with you.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICING OPTIONS?
We offer different pricing options to fit your fitness and lifestyle goals. We have a First Timer Special available, which gives you your first class + glove rentals (for your first class only) for $20. If you are new to boxing, we sell hand wraps* at the studio.

DO YOU OFFER A MEMBERSHIP?
We offer different monthly memberships from as little as 4 classes a month to an Unlimited* monthly membership (*one per day). Check out our pricing page for more information and our Terms of Service page for more details on membership terms. All monthly memberships are on an auto-pay schedule every 30 days charged to the card on file.
CANCELATION POLICY + RUNNING LATE
WHAT IF I AM RUNNING LATE?
Bags will be released 3 minutes prior to class time. If you are running late, please call the studio and we will hold your bag for up to 5 minutes after the start of class. If you do not call the studio, then your bag can be released to a boxer on the wait list. No boxers will be permitted to enter class 5 minutes after the start of class. This is to confirm all the safety protocols and procedures are set in place to keep everyone at a safe distance.
WHAT IS YOUR CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY?
We have a 6 hour cancellation policy. Reserved classes may be cancelled without penalty 6 hours in advance of the scheduled class at BoxUnion.com, through the BoxUnion mobile app, calling the studio, or by emailing the studio. If you miss your class or do not cancel within this time frame, we will not be able to provide a refund. If an Unlimited Member fails to cancel within the 6 hour window, it will result in a $15 fee that will be charged to the credit card on file.
WHAT IS YOUR PRIVATE CHAMPION TRAINING CANCELLATION POLICY?
Champion Training Sessions (Virtual or In-Person) may be cancelled without penalty 6 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment time by calling or emailing your home studio. If an appointment is not canceled 6 hours in advance of the scheduled session, we will not be able to provide a refund and you will still be charged for the entirety of the training to the credit card on file.
WHAT IF I WANT TO SWITCH TO ANOTHER CLASS TIME?
If you simply cannot make the class you signed up for and would like to take a class at a different time on the SAME day, we allow boxers to switch by calling or emailing the front desk at least 4 hours prior to the ORIGINAL class start time. Switches will be accommodated if BoxUnion is notified at least 4 hours in advance of the original class time and the class has space (non-waitlisted class).
CAN I LEAVE EARLY?
We understand once in a while you must slip out early, so try to book a bag near the door and leave quietly.
BOOKING A CLASS
DO I NEED TO SIGN A WAIVER?
All boxers are required to sign a waiver prior to their first class. Boxers who are under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver in person. We do not accept the online registration of minors.
WHEN ARE CLASSES AVAILABLE TO BOOK ONLINE?
Classes for the upcoming week will be become available to book seven days prior to class.
CAN I BOOK A FRIEND UNDER MY NAME?
If you have guests visiting or just want to bring a friend, you can book up to five attendees under your name. All guests must check in at the front desk and sign a waiver upon arrival. If your guest does not arrive, the standard cancellation policy will apply. Class credits must be purchased for each guest as memberships are non-transferable.
DO YOU OFFER CORPORATE EVENTS OR PRIVATE CLASSES FOR LARGE GROUPS?
We offer the ability to reserve bags for large groups or private classes/events. Please check out our events page or inquire at the front desk for more information.
BOOKING DIFFERENT STUDIO LOCATIONS
Will private training packages & sessions be able to be booked at either location?
Yes. Private Training will be available at both locations. A package can be used at both locations—just call or email the studio of choice to book your coach and time.
Will memberships be able to be used at either location?
Members will be able to use their memberships at both locations. All members are given a home studio (aka where you will do most of your boxing) — if you signed up at our Santa Monica studio then that will automatically be your home studio, same for Robertson. If you are booking a class at your home studio, you can sign up online or through the app. If you would like to book a class outside of your home studio, just call or email the alternate studio to reserve your spot and the front desk team will take care of the rest!
Will boxers be able to use their class packages in both locations?
Yes, boxers will be able use class packages in both locations. When purchasing a class package, you will be prompted to first pick a location. This location will be your home studio, where you can book your classes online or through the app. If you would like to book a class outside of your home studio, just call or email to reserve your spot and the front desk team get you all set up.
Can retail be returned at either location?
No, you will need to return retail purchases to the location that you purchased it from.
WHERE DO I PARK?
Parking in LA is terrible, but luckily we have options. Check out our location pages for our favorite parking tips and tricks.
WHERE CAN I CHANGE AND SHOWER?
For your comfort and convenience, we provide both men’s and women’s locker areas equipped with showers, complimentary towels, hair dryers, vanities and Malin + Goetz products.
Showers and most amenities are temporarily not available to minimize contact during this time.
WHERE CAN I PUT MY THINGS?
Secure lockers with keyless locks are provided at no charge. Instructions are printed on the locker, but our staff will always be happy to assist in securing your personal belongings.
Only half of our lockers will be available for each class. This is to allow staff ample time to clean lockers that were just used by the previous class. The lockers we will have available have not been used by the previous class and have had time to air out and disinfect.
WHAT IS YOUR CELL PHONE POLICY?
Cell phones and cameras must be turned off and stored during class, but you are more than welcome to snap away before and after.
IS THERE WATER AVAILABLE?
Hydration is the key to an energizing, effective, and successful workout. Heavy bags are equipped with holders for water bottles and electrolyte-enhanced COREwater bottles are available for purchase. For safety reasons, we do not allow glass water bottles in the studio.
Our purified, alkaline water refill station is available for emergencies only. We will still be disinfecting it between classes, but please come to class prepared with water or purchase one from the front desk.
