BoxUnion Kickboxing Classes Are Officially Here!

BoxUnion Digital’s new Kickboxing Classes are a great addition to any at-home workout regimen. In fact, kickboxing was our most-requested class type – you asked, and we delivered!
Our new at-home workout is designed with fundamentals in mind. Whether you are brand new to kickboxing and BoxUnion Digital or a veteran, kickboxing will bring on a new and fun challenge for all.
And don’t worry – we will still be engaging our BOX TO THE BEAT methodology in every class – we are just adding in a couple new moves! This is kickboxing like you have never seen it before. In just a few weeks, you’ll be punching AND kicking to the beat of the music.
BoxUnion Digital’s Master Coach Justin developed the class framework to prioritize building your skills as well as squeezing in a killer total body workout. The best part is, if you don’t have a bag, don’t worry! These classes are designed to get a great sweat in with or without an at-home boxing bag.
To understand the sport of kickboxing a little bit more, we asked Master Coach Justin to give us a rundown of the class structure and its benefits.
Benefits of Kickboxing – BoxUnion Digital’s At-Home Workout
We have two versions of the kickboxing class at your disposal for your at-home workout.
Kickboxing Shadowbox Class
This is the perfect class if you are new to kickboxing or don’t have an at-home bag – no equipment or experience is necessary.
Once you feel comfortable with the basics, you can add in some hand weights or ankle weights.
PRO TIP: Just like all of our shadowboxing classes, this class can still be done on the bag to mix things up.
Kickboxing Bag Class
This class is designed with the at-home boxing bag in mind. If you happen to have a heavy bag (can this link to our shop page) as a part of your at-home workout routine, then this is the class for you.
Your Coach will take you through several simple yet challenging combos per round. The class is designed to help get you into your flow state and guaranteed to elevate your heart rate every step of the way.
Benefits of Kickboxing – It’s a Total Body Sculpting Workout
- The Upper Body – Like most boxing workouts, your upper body will be engaged the entire class as you throw your punches.
- Engaged Muscles: the pectorals, the latissimus dorsi, the teres major, and the deltoids
- The Lower Body – Since you will be kicking the air or a bag, you will now increase your strength and balance in your lower body.
- Engaged Muscles: the glutes, the hamstrings, and the quadriceps
- The Arms – Punching the air or a bag is no joke, your arms will be sculpted.
- Engaged Muscles: the wrist flexors and extensors, biceps, and triceps
- The Core – Punching and kicking the air or bag requires strength, stability and control… this all stems from your core!
- Engaged Muscles: the rectus abdominis, obliques, and spinal erectors
For our current boxers, expect to add additional strikes to your arsenal, including kicks, knees and elbows. This class is a great way to challenge yourself and practice your skills.
If you have kickboxed before, our method of kickboxing to the beat will challenge your cardio, rhythm and timing — all of which are critical in learning any combat sport.
